  • Feet, ankles, knees and hips are involved in most activites of daily living and enable us to move and weightbear correctly. Dysfunction in one of these structures may manifest in other parts of the body.
  • Lower limb structures enable us to:
    • Stand and ambulated upright
    • Weightbear, move, walk, jump, twist and stand
    • These structures contribute to a “stable base” for the spine and upper body

  • The Chiropractor is educated to perform a thorough foot and ankle examination, in order to best diagnose and treat neuro-musculoskeletal disorders.
  • After the examination when a working diagnosis has been made, the Chiropractor makes an assessment to whether the problem is within their scope of practice or not.
  • If the problem is treatable by the Chiropractor a treatment plan is created to reduce pain, improve health and general wellbeing.
